A Passion: My guide to have a vegetable home garden

I've been away for a month or so, but since I left I was being inspired to do more in our home garden. The weather which endures all plants to grow this Spring inspired me to sow a seeds to a potted plants. It only happened when you are inspired to do things that your little hand guided you through planting vegetables at home. Moreover the happiness it created comes from what you sow out from the seeds. The feeling of closeness to nature, when its roots grow out from the soil, the leaves sprout out from the sun, the stem developed out from the water, the flowers bloomed which is a sign how happy they are when you spent more time to them. The fruit comes next. Nevertheless, when all of it comes to life, the passion of love and closeness to nature will continue to be in you because we are the only one who makes life not only to the plants but to the people we love so much. https://facebook.com/mlbwollner

A Good Idea ! An Easter Minigarden

As you see in this blog,  i will be adding some garden idea from youtube video, i chose a very nice and interesting tips on how to make an Easter minigarden centerpiece. I think its so easy to do. Just follow the procedures and everything will take in its place. Maybe some of the materials are not easy to find in your area, try to be a bit resourceful, we can see some of this things available in the shops or in a children's store, put it all together and we can create this beautiful minigarden at home. Flower box with irrigation system

This is a new innovations i guess, a flower box with irrigation system which ensures that the flowers has sufficient water everyday. It has a false base which is easy to remove when cleaning, a large water base, a suction cone filled with soil which you can plant water supply through soil filled cone, an overflow done which is an overflow opening in the water reservoir, all parts are permanently attached to the window box .


I chose Gardenia to put in our living room, the sunshines all through out the day which gives all my potted plants a healthier leaves and flowers.  I only used flower garden soil with it. I bought potted Gardenia with 4 plants in each pot so transferring was so easy since i knew these tropical plant.

It catches my attention when i enter in the garden shop, the strong sweet scent of the flower of Gardenia forced me to buy it. Its irresistible. Since it's a house plant and grow 18 inches tall which requires humidity and cold climate at night around 15-16 degrees Celsius, good enough to our living room. I avoid water pouring into the flower for it will turn brown.

They said that the Gardenia requires indirect sunlight, i do not think so, let us see

Horticultural Show in Koblenz

Although we never seen this big event of the year here, i took time to checked and browsed over the internet this wonderful event, it started April and ended October 2011. No words can described Germany's most beautiful corner Koblenz. It is surrounded with Rhine and a river in W  Central Europe, flowing from the vosges mountain in NE France into the Rhine at Koblenz in W Germany.

The flower halls were the main attractions for lover of the floristry.  An indoor events which highlights the exotic plants, German horticultural and  masterpieces of floral designs. Botanic displays of the historic skill florist artist were shown inside the building.  In the green competence center, the expert were answering all the questions about gardening and floristry. 

These year, the event will be held in Holland " Floriade Horticultural World Expo Venlo 2012 ". Here's some of the videos of the said event.

 

Bio-Pom Pom blanc / Lion's mane mushroom

I went to the Bio Company to buy one of my favorite organic mushroom which taste good as a seafoods, lobster in particular.  Oh my !!!!  i have'nt taste as well as this one, i saw very few weighing 200 grams per pack. It's made in Germany.

If you're a kinda vegetarian, Pom Pom mushroom is so nutritious and in traditional chinese medicine, it is considered a medicinal mushroom. The first tiny bite seemed stimulates my nerves and it really tastes like a fresh lobster meat. I learned that it's goes well when you mixed it with any kinds of noodles. I never put any other ingredients except tomato sauce, olives, and onions of course....wow so delicious. Do not forget to put salt and pepper :)

Spring Bunny in The Mall

Every places specially the shopping mall creates an spring bunny decorations, i seldom seen such a funny and well decorated garden in the Mall, we went and visited one of the popular shopping mall, the Linden Center, and we found out the bunny character wearing different costumes, here they are :

King of Orchids

I went to the garden shop, i saw Cymbidium the King of Orchids. The stunning beauty of pot Cymbidium, is a long tall plant, with small long tropical leaves but not all of the features have some, gracefully droop downwards beneath the flowers. There are 8 or more bunches of flowers in a long clusters. The older the plants, the more flower it produce. There are many orchids that grows only through air, but the pot Cymbidium  has only water roots and no air roots. It originates in Southeast Asia. This is an earth orchids, it also grows in the wild where bees, insects, butterflies pollinates the seedling which gives you all different kinds of coloured pot Cymbidium.

This is an expensive plants because it takes 5 years to sow the seeds and mature the plant.

What a nice day today ive seen the  Royalty among the Orchids.
